We traveled to Meadow Creek Welding again for our annual trip to their Dealer Day and Open House. It is always a fun time of reconnecting with the folks at Meadow Creek and being around lots of barbecue, as well as learning how to serve you better. Here are a bunch of photos we took when we were in Amish country (don’t miss the horses and the ice cream machine).
The barbecue season is off to a good start. If you’d like to expand or upgrade your barbecue venture or get into barbecue for the first time, click on over to our online catalog to see our full line of barbecue equipment from Meadow Creek Welding.

We’re on vacation this week on Hatteras Island out on the Outer Banks along the US east coast. I grilled some burgers and cheese-filled hot dogs last evening. It’s hard to beat those Bubba Burgers when it comes to store-bought burgers and the John F Martin dogs are some of the best! Try some the next time you fire up the grill for some plain old-fashioned grilling.
Later in the week, we have grilled steak and chicken on the menu also.

Not much to say today. Just wanted to share some of the barbecue goodness we are experiencing here. We fired up the TS60 Barbecue Smoker to cook some chicken breasts, a couple briskets, and a turkey. The chicken turned out delicious; the other meat is still cooking.

I had a wonderful and enjoyable birthday on Saturday. Besides all the other special stuff, my wife arranged to get me a new SQ36 Meadow Creek Smoker! I didn’t have a clue about it until we drove up to my dad’s house where we were going to smoke with my brother’s smoker (or so I thought!).
I’ve wanted a small backyard smoker for quite a while, so I’m quite delighted. Mine has a second tier grate and one of those optional grill pans, so I can grill steaks and burgers, OR smoke ribs, chicken, brisket, or whatever with an offset firebox.
We also fired up the BBQ26S Chicken Cooker and grilled some steaks, which I had marinated overnight and seasoned with a homemade mixture. Of course, everything turned out delicious, and we had lots of left-overs. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Signing off for more of those birthday ribs,
Lavern
PS. Thanks, honey.
